Support the St Thomas More Trust
Since its inception in 2023, the Trust has been hard at work putting boots on the ground and getting these events running. To continue this work, we depend on your help.
Every single dollar you donate makes a difference, enabling us to run more events that inspire and engage families like yours.
Your generous contributions allow us to expand our initiatives, making them bigger and better each year. With your support, we can attract more participants and create a new appreciation and establishment around faithful liberal arts.
A growing share of what we raise goes to our Scholarship Fund: scholarships and soft loans that help young New Zealanders study at faithful liberal arts institutions overseas, chiefly Campion College in Australia and Holy Apostles College and Seminary in the United States. Access to serious formation should not turn on wealth, and for most New Zealand families these institutions are simply out of reach without help. The fund is our answer to that.
What would we do with funding?
We have five simple practical goals at the St Thomas More Trust.
- 1.
Support access for all, regardless of means, to faithful liberal arts courses, resources and experience, with priority for secondary and tertiary students.
- 2.
Fundraise scholarships and soft loans for faithful liberal arts education at international schools and tertiary institutions.
- 3.
Support and resource the establishment of faithful liberal arts courses and initiatives in New Zealand, in partnership with international institutions.
- 4.
Deliver existing faithful liberal arts education courses in New Zealand.
- 5.
Provide resourcing, technical and other support for strengthening existing Catholic schools in Canterbury, primary and secondary.
