The second Liberal Arts Intensive ran from Monday 7 to Friday 11 October 2024 at St Patrick's School, Kaiapoi, with around forty students aged 11–17 from some twenty families across junior and senior streams.
Ben and Eliza McCabe of Augustine Academy returned, joined by Stephen and Jacinta Woodnutt, Campion College graduates and local teachers, and Dr Robert Loretz, who led the junior stream through the Four Senses of Scripture and a film study of Babette's Feast. Students studied philosophy, literature and theology, with art added for the juniors.
The intensive is the Trust's flagship programme: a full week where young people discover that serious study can be the most enjoyable thing they do all year. Participants called the response extraordinary, and it remains one of the most influential things the Trust has run.
