Our first ever public event, where it all began

Before the intensives, before the courses, there was this: our very first liberal arts evening in 2023, the event that started everything.
A full room gathered for an evening talk, with questions and conversation carrying on long after the formal part of the night had ended. The warmth of that first gathering convinced us there was a real hunger in New Zealand for this kind of learning, and it set the pattern for everything the Trust has run since: a serious talk, good company, and unhurried discussion.
From this evening came the first Liberal Arts Intensive later that year, and eventually the St Thomas More Trust itself.
