Liberate 2025

A Call to Virtue, Brotherhood & Strength

On Saturday, 12 April 2025, Liberate 2025 arrives—a one-day challenge for young men (15-26)* to rise above mediocrity and embrace virtue, discipline, and true brotherhood. Hosted by Fit for the Kingdom and the St. Thomas More Trust, this event will test your mind, body, and spirit at the Sanctuary of Fourvière (Beatitudes Community) in Leithfield.

As Theodore Roosevelt declared, “Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat”. “The ways of the Lord are not comfortable. But we were not created for comfort. We were made for greatness” - Benedict XVI.

We've brought on board some local legends to make this an incredibly fruitful day.
•  Dr. Robert Loretz, rocking a PhD in Philosophy (Ethics), an M.A in music, and 2019 winner of New Zealand's most inspiring teacher;
•  Dean Mischewski, M.A. in Theology from Catholic International University, and 2023 NZ Masters powerlifting champ;
•  Stephen Mischewski, 2022 Fittest Man in New Zealand, newly married and full of ideas for demanding but doable physical challenges;
•  plus other guests to share their experience in building virtue through friendship.

Event Highlights:
🔥 Mass – Start the day with purpose.
💪 Group Physical Challenge – Push your limits.
🎤 Listen and learn – Inspiring talks from Robert Loretz and others.
🥩 Flame-Grilled Steak Lunch – Fuel for the fight.
